Meeting our neighbours in the Hwange bush

Welcome to Gwango's first official blog post!  We will spend the next few monthsbuilding Gwango Elephant Lodge in one of Zimbabwe's most exquisite destinations bordering Hwange National Park.  We can't wait to share our plans with you, but for now, we're just settling in and enjoying the gorgeous weather. 

You know what they say about "all work and no play". We're completely surrounded by wilderness, and we have tons of work to do, since our lodge is still only in the planning stages.  BUT.. we managed to do some exploring this afternoon.  We were so excited to meet some of our new neighbours. 

Can you guess who we met?  Some shy giraffes, three zebras, kudu, sable, waterbuck and too many baboons to count.
