Directions to Gwango

International flights arrive daily at the Victoria Falls Airport, which is only a two-hour drive from Gwango in Hwange, Zimbabwe.   Charter flights from Victoria Falls to the Hwange Airport are also available.

Road transfers can be arranged from Victoria Falls.  The turn-off to Gwango is at the 264,5 kilometre peg on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road. From here a tar road (15 kilometres) leads to Hwange National Park. 

Gwango Elephant Lodge
Look for the Gwango Elephant Lodge sign on your left, just before the main entrance to Hwange National Park.  If you are self-driving, you'll need a 4x4 vehicle, otherwise parking is available at the Gwango Heritage Centre (see below).

Gwango Bush Tents
Look for the "Gwango Heritage Centre" sign on your right, just before the main entrance to Hwange National Park.  Check-in for the Gwango Bush Tents is at the Gwango Heritage Centre. Guests may self-drive to Gwango Bush Tents, a 4x4 vehicle is not necessary.

Gwango BOMA Restaurant
Look for the "Gwango Heritage Center" sign on your right, just before the main entrance to Hwange National Park.  Parking for the Gwango BOMA Restaurant is available at the Gwango Heritage Center.

Gwango Heritage Centre
Look for the "Gwango Heritage Centre" sign on your right, just before the main entrance to Hwange National Park.  Parking is available.
