GSI Career Day Speakers & Exhibits
We invite you to support STEM education in the Hwange National Park communal areas by becoming a GSI Career Pathways Exhibitor.
A total of 9 secondary schools participate in the GSI Career Pathways event. Almost 800 students aged 13-15 years-old benefit from a day of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) exploration and career guidance!
The students selected to participate are all part of the incoming Form 1 class for the year. Most of them attend impoverished schools where biology, chemistry and physics are not part of their current school curriculum. The goal of the Career Pathways event is to engage and inspire our students to learn about STEM, get excited about STEM and pursue a STEM related occupation.
Teachers, headmasters, school administrators and a host of stakeholders also attend. We invite STEM organizations to participate as “Activity Producers” creating fun and interactive hands-on activities that will be part of the event. Students learn by seeing, listening and interacting with STEM content, and we’d like to include a range of experiences and learning opportunities.

Create Your Exhibit
As an exhibitor, you’ll directly engage students and educators in STEM. We’ll provide you with a table for your display, the rest of the details are up to you. You’ll bring your own supplies, and give-away materials. You’ll also make arrangements to have your booth staffed at all times with “STEM Role Models” that fit the theme of your exhibit such as a scientists, engineers, conservationists, teachers, robots etc.
When designing activities, keep in mind the age group of our participants and design your display so the students can see, touch, listen to, and do things. We encourage you to be as creative as possible to help captivate the imagination of our kids!
