Hosting an event, conference, product launch, or even a private board meeting out in the wild might sound unconventional, but it’s precisely why it works. Gwango is a place where the hum of nature perfectly complements any occasion, in an environment where you can focus on the important work to be done, or moments to be shared - but also enjoy what’s around you.
We’ve had all sorts of groups come through over the years, the largest of which was probably a wedding a few years ago for a friend who asked (so very nicely) if they could have their wedding at Gwango. But, now - we’re gearing up to have official conference spaces, for up to 380 people (in our brand new Teak Room), as well as the smaller private executive meetings for as few as 8 people.
With six different conference spaces available to you, ranging in size from 17 square metres to up 350 square metres, you will definitely be able to find what you need. Our conference spaces have grown and evolved naturally over time, much like the rest of Gwango - and each space is thoughtfully designed to meet your needs with all that you might expect at a traditional conference venue, including screens, speakers or whatever you need to keep your event running smoothly. But the truth is, the real magic happens in the moments between your event sessions.
We often find that it's during your breaks, when you step out to stretch your legs and grab some coffee, that Gwango really leaves its mark. Imagine taking a breather and spotting elephants sauntering over to the waterhole just a few metres away. You can expect these regular visitors if you choose to host a meeting at one of our Hwange locations - and though they won’t be taking notes at your conference - they sure will make an impression!! And if that doesn’t lighten up a mid-meeting mood, we don’t know what will!
The best part? After a long day of meetings, you won’t need to worry about where to eat, Gobelo Marketplace is built into every Gwango location! And that means we also have you covered on any banquet and reception needs. Whether it’s something light or a hearty buffet, you’ll find exactly what you need and the setting just makes everything taste better.
If your event stretches over a few days, we’ve got plenty of cozy places to rest your head. From our Bush Chalets and campsites and Gwango Heritage Resort to our soon to be open self-catering Bungalows at Gwango Kule Camp and the brand new Garden or Terrace Rooms at Gwango Tamarillo Estate. At Gwango, you’ll find the ideal accommodations to suit your needs. And for those larger groups, overflowing to other properties for larger room blocks is not a problem. It’s all about making sure we meet your needs, so you can relax and enjoy your time with us.
