Directions to Gwango

International flights arrive daily at the Victoria Falls Airport, which is only a two-hour drive from Gwango locations in Hwange, Zimbabwe. Charter flights from Victoria Falls to the Hwange Airport or to Bulawayo are also available.
Road transfers can be arranged from Victoria Falls. The turn-off to the Gwango estate in Hwange is at the 264,5 kilometre peg on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road. From here a tar road (15 kilometres) leads to Hwange National Park. We are just before the entrance to Hwange National Park. Here is a map to help orient you:
Gwango Heritage Resort
Look for the huge "Gwango" sign on your right, just before the Main Camp entrance to Hwange National Park. Turn right at the sign, then left heading towards our Front Office. Parking is available. Guests may self-drive to Gwango Heritage Resort, a 4x4 vehicle is not necessary.
Gobelo Markeplace in Hwange (our restaurant is open to the public)
Look for the huge "Gwango" sign on your right, just before the Main Camp entrance to Hwange National Park. Turn right at the sign, then turn left, heading towards our Front Office. Parking for Gobelo Marketplace is available at Gwango Heritage Resort. Guests may self-drive, a 4x4 vehicle is not necessary.

BaNambya Cultural Exhibit (tours begin daily at 9am and 3pm from the Gwango Heritage Resort Front Office)

Camping at Gwango in Hwange (check in at Gwango Heritage Resort)
We have several campsites. To allow us to point you in the right direction look for the huge "Gwango" sign on your right, just before the Main Camp entrance to Hwange National Park. Turn right at the sign, then left, heading towards our Front Office. You will be directed to your campsite from there. A 4x4 vehicle is not necessary.
