International flights arrive daily at the Victoria Falls Airport, which is just over a two-hour drive from Gwango in Hwange. Charter flights from Victoria Falls to the Hwange Airport or to Bulawayo can also be arranged.

Road transfers are available from Victoria Falls. The turn-off to the Gwango estate in Hwange is at the 264,5 kilometre peg on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road. From here a tar road (15 kilometres) leads to Hwange National Park. We are just before the entrance to Hwange National Park.

Our guests can easily self-drive to Gwango. A 4x4 vehicle is not necessary. Look for the big stone "Gwango" sign on your right, just before the Main Camp entrance to Hwange National Park (the sign is about 3 meters wide). Turn right at the sign, then left heading towards our Front Office. Free self-parking is available.

Dining at our Restaurant in Hwange If you are visiting the restaurant, Gwango Mtoa is open to the public and is conveniently located just outside the Main Camp entrance to Hwange National Park.

For the BaNambya Cultural Tour Tours begin daily at 9am and 3pm from Gwango Heritage Resort. Please confirm availability with our Front Office.

For the Gobelo Farm Tour Please check with our Front office to confirm availability. Tours depart daily at 9am and 4pm from Gwango Heritage Resort.

Camping at Gwango in Hwange We have several campsites. To allow us to point you in the right direction check in at the Front Desk at Gwango Heritage Resort.

Gwango Tamarillo Estate is located at
5 Hoopoe Hollow Road, Burnside, Bulawayo.

Road transfers can also be arranged from Hwange or we can pick you up at the Joshua Mqabuko International Airport in Bulawayo, which is only 15 minutes away. Charter flights are also available from Victoria Falls or Hwange to Bulawayo.

Driving from Bulawayo City Centre -
Take Hillside Road, which becomes Burnside Road. Turn left onto Whitestone Way. Continue down the windy road until you get to the end of the road then turn left onto Lorie (just before the entrance to Whitestone School). Drive a very short distance then take the first right onto Hoopoe Hollow Road. From there, it’s the 2nd property on your right with a brown gate.

Driving from Matobo National Park -
From Matopos Road, turn right onto Cecil Avenue. Continue until you reach Hillside Road and turn right. Hillside Road becomes Burnside Road. From there turn left onto Whitestone Way. Continue down the windy road until you get to the end of the road then turn left onto Lorie (just before the entrance to Whitestone School). Drive a very short distance then take the first right onto Hoopoe Hollow Road. From there, it’s the 2nd property on your right with a brown gate.
